Originally bred as a gundog in Germany to hunt big game including deer and bear, the Weimaraner is nicknamed the “Silver Ghost”. Today, these elegant dogs can still be found hunting (big prey drive), but they also make fine family pets, if they get enough exercise. Gorgeous Weimies are known for their gentle and affectionate temperament, but can be especially nervous pups, so be mindful of Weimaraner's natural fear during fireworks festivities.
